Barry Richards is an author, illustrator, painter, user experience designer and someone who doesn’t like to speak of himself in the third person.

I was born September 29, 1972 in Northern N.J., where I was raised with my parents and three brothers. As long as I can remember, I’ve had a basic need to be creative. I cannot remember a time I didn’t have a pencil, pen or paint brush in my hands. Any medium would do, and now that includes a keyboard.

After high school, I attended Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. Upon completion of my studies, the emergence of the internet led to many unexpected personal and professional opportunities. Within a few years had gone from Graphic Designer to Web Designer to Web Developer and User Experience Architect. For more than 25 years, I’ve designed digital solutions for projects, across the country.

Visual story-telling has always been a natural passion. I paint what I feel, with an empathy for a world struggling to find purpose.
